She was the daughter of Jean Demarest and Jacomina De Ruine. Leah Demarest married Abraham Pieterse Brouwer, son of Pieter Brouwer and Petronella Uldricks Claine, on 29 March 1700 at Dutch Reformed Church, Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey. Leah Demarest married Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt, son of Lubert Lubbertsen Westervelt and Gessie Roelofs Van Houten, on 15 May 1731 at Dutch Reformed Church, Schraalenburgh, Bergen County, New Jersey. Leah Demarest died after 21 October 1733.

     Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt was also known as Roelof Westervelt. He was baptized on 10 March 1659 at Meppel, Drenthe, Netherlands. He was the son of Lubert Lubbertsen Westervelt and Gessie Roelofs Van Houten. Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt immigrated on 24 May 1662; aboard the Dutch West India ship Hoop. He became a member of tjhe at Dutch Reformed Church, Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey, 1687. Marriage banns for Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt and Orselina Steynmets were published on 11 March 1687/88 at Dutch Reformed Church, Bergen, Hudson County, New Jersey. A contract for the marriage of Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt and Orselina Steynmets was signed on 25 March 1688 at Bergen, Hudson County, New Jersey. Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt married Orselina Steynmets, daughter of Capt. Casparus Johannes Steynmets II and Jannetje Gerrits Van Steenwyck, on 11 April 1688 at Dutch Reformed Church, Bergen, Hudson County, New Jersey. Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt married Orselina Steynmets, daughter of Capt. Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt and nine others purchased from the Lord Proprietors of East Jersey, for the sum of L100, a large tract of land embracing some thousands of acres, extedning from the Hudson River to the Overpeck, or English Creek, and running northerly and southerly a distance of about two miles. These lands were fertile, well elevated and sloped gradually from the Palisades to Overpeck Creek. Roelof obtained the most northerly portion of the tract and setted upon it. In 1695. He a triangular lot (Sections 6 and 7, Map of Bergen County) lying between the east and west branches of the Overpeck, which was first patented by the Proprietors, who sold it in 1688 to Samuel Emmett, of Boston. Emmett then conveyed it, to Roelof Lubbertsen Westervelt. The Indians disputed Roelof's title in 1705 and he was obliged to obtain a release from them. This triangular tract extended from the two brances of the Overpeck nortward to the head of Tiena Kill Brook, and gave him one of the largest farms on the Hudson. On 17 September 1695. He was elected a deacon at the chrch in Hackensack, om place of Roelof Van der Linde 1705. He elected church master of the chrch at Hackensack, succeeding Jacob Hendrick Banta 1709. He married Leah Demarest, daughter of Jean Demarest and Jacomina De Ruine, on 15 May 1731 at Dutch Reformed Church, Schraalenburgh, Bergen County, New Jersey. Roelof Lubbertse Westervelt died after 21 October 1733 at Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey.
