Glenn Everett Cobb, age 72, Ozark, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He was born April 21, 1938, in Christian County, the son of Charles Wallace and Emma (DeWitt) Cobb. On February 16, 1963, Glenn married Carol June Mooney. She preceded him in death in 1977. On January 20, 1978, Glenn married Shirley Gaunt. Glenn worked for Dayco for 22 years and also worked as a farmer. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ, Ozark. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Shirley Cobb, Ozark; his children, Steven Cobb and wife Deanne, Ozark, John Cobb and wife Paula, Springfield, and Amy Rector and husband Scott, Ozark; two stepsons, Greg Jackson and wife Angie, Neosho, and Bradley Jackson and wife Kristin, Ozark; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie and James Cobb, Sam and Rose Cobb, Dakota, Lyndsey and Dustin Rector, and Katelyn, Myles, Bryce and Layne Jackson, and Becka, Kaley and Riley Jackson; and three siblings, Rex Cobb and wife Fern, Ozark, Reba Sapp, Springfield, and Stanford Cobb, Springfield. In addition to his parents and his first wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his other siblings, Florene Cook, Clifford Cobb, Fern Poole and Jessie Vaughn. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Chuck Eakins and Tony Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Fairhaven Children's Home or Seasons Hospice.

For 10 years he was a state examiner for building and loan associations. In 1941 he was appointed Maroa Township supervisor to fill an unexpected term. He was re-elected 2 years later to full term. He was an elder and the treasurer at the Presbyterian Church.
