      Susan Boman was born on Dec 3, 1944. She was the daughter of Lewis Robert Boman and Vaudice Elva Pitcher. Susan married Rex Zollinger on Sep 25, 1964. Susan Boman died on Nov 3, 2003 at age 58.
     

BOUNTIFUL- Susan Boman Zollinger, 58, died Nov. 17, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born December 3, 1944 to Vaudice Elva Pitcher and Lewis Robert Boman in Logan, Utah. She married Rex Zollinger on September 25, 1964 in the Logan Temple. They are the parents of Bonnie, Angela, and Holly.

Susan worked as a secretary for many years. While an Executive Secretary at Eaton Kenway Company, she attended the University of Phoenix where she completed a degree in Human Resources and later a Masters Degree in Organizational Management. She then went to work at Utah Scientific as a Human Resource Manager and most recently she was the Director of Human Resources at USANA Health Sciences.

Susan had a zest for life, a great sense of humor, and much patience in adversity. She loved to travel and had wonderful adventures around the world with her husband, dear friends and family. Susan found joy in the simple things of life. She loved gardening, going to lunch with her friends, Jazz games and shopping with her girls. Susan was a devoted grandmother. There was no end to her support and generosity where her grandchildren were concerned.

Susan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many church callings and most recently as Relief Society teacher. The hallmark of her life was her faith in God and his plan, and her knowledge that families are forever.

Susan is survived by her husband Rex, father Lewis, mother Vaudice, brothers: Ronald (Rosella), and Boyd (Linda), sister, Sally. Children: Bonnie, Angela (Marlin), and Holly; grandchildren: Andrew, Samantha, Bailee, Mason, Abby and Logan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 E. Mueller Park Road, Bountiful. Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N.       Warren Benjamin Dowdle was born on Dec 8, 1924 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was the son of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis. Warren married Clara Louise Ellis, daughter of George F. Ellis and Phebe Ellen Porter, on Jul 16, 1947.

      Junior Earl Dowdle was born on Feb 17, 1928 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was the son of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis. Junior married Nina Wilson on Jan 31, 1946. Junior married Barbara Lucile Nash on Jul 14, 1947. Junior Earl Dowdle and Barbara Lucile Nash were divorced. Junior married Donna LaRue Caffall, daughter of Joseph Charles Caffall and Eva Gubler, on Feb 11, 1961. Junior Earl Dowdle died on Dec 26, 2003 at West Jordan, Salt Lake County, Utah, at age 75.
      J. Earl Dowdle, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home December 26, 2003 at the age of 75. He was a High Priest and an active member of the Shadow Mountain 8th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Earl was born to Hugh Jed and Carrie Lewis Dowdle in Salt Lake City February 17, 1928. He graduated from Davis High School and later attended Weber State College.

Earl joined the United States Navy in 1945 at the age of 17 where he served aboard the USS Point Cruz as a Gunner's mate 2nd Class.

Earl married Barbara Lucile Nash; later Divorced. Earl then married Donna LaRue Caffall.

Earl worked at Hill Field Air Force base as a warehouseman. He then learned the meat cutting trade and after working for the Safeway's, Albertson's, and Smith's grocery store chains; he ran his own business Riverton Valley Meats for 20 years. He later retired from Harmon's.

Earl is survived by his wife, Donna Dowdle; sons, J. Earl (Vickie) of So. Salt Lake, Gordon Trent of West Jordan, Joseph Scott (Corie) of Grantsville; stepdaughter, Kirsten Camille Jewett of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Warren Benjamin Dowdle of Layton, UT; and sister, Luella Ann Murphy of New York, NY. Earl is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wallace Eugene Dowdle, Robert Franklin Dowdle, and Orian Lewis Dowdle; sisters, Barbara Anderson, Emma Dowdle, and Ruth Huff.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 31 st at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 6500 South Redwood Rd, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the West Jordan Public Safety Department and their Victim's Advocates for their extra care, support and assistance during a difficult time.

Wallace married Patsy June Porter on Nov 12, 1949. Wallace Eugene Dowdle died on Jan 6, 1994 at Barstow, San Bernardino County, California, at age 63.

      Robert Franklin Dowdle was born on Jan 30, 1934 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was the son of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis. Robert married Venda Joyce Knight on Jul 10, 1958. Robert married Bernice Draper on May 13, 1962. Robert Franklin Dowdle died on Oct 7, 2003 at South Sioux City, Dakota County, Nebraska, at age 69.

      Orion Lewis Dowdle was born on Sep 30, 1935 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was the son of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis. Orion Lewis Dowdle died on Aug 15, 1969 at Utah at age 33.

      Luella Ann Dowdle was born on Jun 4, 1939. She was the daughter of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis.

      Patsy June Porter was born on Feb 12, 1929 at Compton, Los Angeles County, California. Patsy married Wallace Eugene Dowdle, son of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis, on Nov 12, 1949. Patsy June Porter died on Apr 9, 2001 at Barstow, San Bernardino County, California, at age 72.

     John Edgar Huff was the son of Riley Huff and Matilda Olsen. John married Ruth Dowdle, daughter of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis, on Feb 3, 1938.

     Everett married Gladys Berlin. Everett married Barbara Dowdle, daughter of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis, on Nov 28, 1936.

     Donna LaRue Caffall was the daughter of Joseph Charles Caffall and Eva Gubler. Donna married Junior Earl Dowdle, son of Hugh Jed Dowdle Jr. and Carrie Lewis, on Feb 11, 1961.

     Richard Lee Huff was the son of John Edgar Huff and Ruth Dowdle.

     Jack Edgar Huff was the son of John Edgar Huff and Ruth Dowdle.

     Jed Riley Huff was the son of John Edgar Huff and Ruth Dowdle.

     Shirley Rae Anderson was the daughter of Everett James Anderson and Barbara Dowdle.

Clara Louise Ellis died on Sep 6, 2005 at Heritage Park Care Center, Layton, Davis County, Utah, at age 78.

LAYTON - Clara Louise Ellis Dowdle, 78, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Heritage Park Care Center. She was born June 5, 1927 in Layton the daughter of George F. and Phebe Ellen Porter Ellis. Clara married Warren B. Dowdle Sr. on July 16, 1946 in Layton.

She was a member of the Layton 4th Ward. She enjoyed handicrafts, sewing and crocheting. Surviving are his loving husband of 59 years, six sons, Ben, James, Patrick, Greg, Brad, Fred, three daughters, Cora Wiggins, Shree Nash, Erlene Tanner, 28 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Arthur Ellis, Tom Ellis, John Ellis, three sisters, Phebe Peterson, Marie Sanbeck and Janet Fink. Preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Manning and Hope Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Lindquists Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
