Margaret Alice (Moore) Tate, age 94 and a lifetime resident of Llano passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010. She was born on July 13, 1915 in Llano County to Lela Alice (Willbern) and C.E. Moore. She married James Rowden Tate, Sept. 27, 1936 in Llano; he preceded her in death Sept.17, 2008. Also preceded in death are her parents, four sisters and four brothers.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Llano and was the assistant Sunday School Superintendent for the church. Alice was a founding Board Member of the Llano Special Opportunity School and continued to support it until her death. She was also a member of the Llano Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughters, Winnie J. Morgan and husband Jimmy and Lucy Tate all of Llano; sons: Sam Tate and wife Jill of Valley Spring and Henry Lee Tate of Llano. Also, a sister: Helen Harwell of Eden; six grandchildren, eight great, grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Llano, with Reverend Ron Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Mountain Cemetery in Sunrise Beach.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Keith Morgan, Kenny Morgan, Doug Morgan, Sidney Cox, Ron Anderson and Frank Faubion.

Memorial Contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Llano, Llano Special Opportunity School or charity of choice.
