In his earlier years William Lake was a school teacher and surveyor at Bargaintown. On the founding of Ocean City he moved there, where he resided. He made all the original surveys and plans for the Ocean City Association, was Burrough and city engineer for many years, and has drawn thousands of deeds and other conveyances. At the age of 26 was still actively engaged in the practice of his profession he was for many years treasurer of the Ocean City Building and Loan Association, of which he was one of the founders. Mr. Lake was a member of the Masons and of the Knights of Pythias; has held many offices, being a past master in the Masons; and was much interested in the affairs of the societies. He has from the first been active in arranging for the reunions of the Lake family, and has been secretary of the Lake family Association from the organization. Altogether he was a Lake, and whose life and character the family may well take pride.

     Thomas Lee was the son of Abel Lee and Margaret Smith. Thomas married Caroline Scull, daughter of John Scull and Hannah Lee.

      Leek S. Turner was born on Nov 22, 1820. He was the son of John Leeds Turner and Elizabeth Sooy. Leek S. Turner died on Apr 1, 1842 at age 21; lost at sea.

      Augustus Sooy Turner was born on Jul 20, 1823. He was the son of John Leeds Turner and Elizabeth Sooy.

      Sarah Turner was born on Apr 23, 1826. She was the daughter of John Leeds Turner and Elizabeth Sooy. Sarah Turner died on Feb 17, 1907 at age 80.
